Accommodation

There are a limited number of guests accommodations located on-campus:

Vancouver’s downtown core offers a range of accommodation options. The university campus is a 45-60 minute bus ride from downtown or a 25 minute drive.

Travelling to Vancouver

The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has several transportation options. Taxi, Uber, Lyft, Evo car share, car rental, public transportation, and courtesy shuttles by some hotels. The airport is approximately a 30 minute car ride to downtown or the UBC Vancouver campus. If you are taking a taxi, there is a standard fare for travel from the airport to each zone.

Public Transportation

Vancouver has well-established public transportation infrastructure. TransLink operates several express and regular buses to and from the UBC Vancouver Campus.

All buses accept contactless credit and debit card payments. Cash payments are also accepted, but no change will be returned.

A single fare is valid for 90 minutes across the TransLink network (e.g. bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus and HandyDART). Please visit TransLink for more information. TransLink is integrated into Google Maps’ trip planning service.

Cycling

Vancouver has an extensive bike route network. Vancouver has a public bike share program, Mobi by Rogers. The nearest Mobi station is about 150 meters from Allard Hall.

E-Scooter Rental

Lime operates in Vancouver and has several stations across the UBC campus.
